PVAC members presented to the Rental Housing Association of Greater Springfield on the relationship between asthma and housing and relevant housing codes.
Asthma and Housing Forum – October 2007
The PVAC partnered with the Pioneer Valley Project to hold a community forum in Springfield to raise awareness of housing issues that impact asthma and to brainstorm community solutions - “Housing and the Asthma Crisis: Finding Community Solutions”.
Presenters talked about asthma and the community, asthma and housing, asthma and the housing code, and asthma, housing and the law, followed by a panel of representatives from successful programs that are working to improve housing conditions that impact asthma (Committee for Boston Public Housing, Breathe Easy at Home Program, North Adams Pre-Rental Inspection Program).
